Portumna Camogie Club AGM – have your say in our future!

People sit around a table talking.

As the 2025 season draws to a close, it’s time for us to come together as a club and community to reflect, plan and shape the road ahead. We are inviting all members to attend Portumna Camogie Club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).

  • Date: Friday, 7 November 2025
  • Time: 8pm
  • Venue: Portumna Courthouse, Clonfert Ave, Portumna, Co. Galway, H53 XN15

“Our AGM will take place on Friday, November 7th, and it’s hard to believe how quickly the year has flown by. It’s been fantastic to see the continued improvement and development of all our players across every age group,” said Shane Madden, Club Chairperson.

“Like all sports, camogie plays a huge role in building resilience, teamwork and confidence, all of which benefit our young people far beyond the pitch.”

Why attend?

The AGM is one of the most important events in the club calendar. It’s where we:

  • Review the year gone by – both on and off the field
  • Celebrate our successes and acknowledge the efforts of all who contributed
  • Elect the people who will guide the club through 2026
  • Discuss any motions or changes that will help improve how we operate

This is your chance to have your voice heard and help shape the direction of Portumna Camogie Club. Whether you’re a parent of a young player, a long-time supporter, or a player yourself, your input and engagement matter.

“For small rural clubs like ours, player retention is absolutely vital, and that depends on the support of families and the wider community,” said Shane.

“Volunteers are the heartbeat of Portumna Camogie Club, and we are always looking for more help – whether it’s coaching, organising, or simply lending a hand at events. The best way to get involved and make a difference is to attend our AGM. Everyone is welcome – your voice, your ideas, and your support are what keep the club going strong.”
